Student Programs
Getting Involved!
These **NEW** programs will be released soon!
MVP STUDENT VOLUNTEER SUMMER CAMP: A camp for student volunteers will be offered during two sessions, a summer I and a summer II session. Through partnership with a local student camp, students will actively participate in various capacities, hear compelling stories, and do volunteer work while they bond over compassion projects.
For those students who are 'team players' and have an interest in leadership opportunities with MVP. Student led inititatives such as Earth Day Cleanup, Double Good Popcorn, Rake-a-thon, Holiday Elves, Hygge Winter Party, Calendar Sales, Playground building/reconditioning, are just a few examples of the campaigns that will be offered.
In partnership with VOYAGES, students will be given the opportunity to travel internationally during off-school days breaks, i.e. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, and Summer. These travel program options may be used to log volunteer hours for their volunteer transcript. This will expose students internationally to countries of their choosing from an exclusive selection made by MVP and students will obtain valuable international experience and earn a volunteer abroad badge in the MVP Community.
The badges earned in the MVP Community for completing a certain number of volunteer hours for a specific cause will be displayed not only in the community portal in the Leaderboard top winners but also on the student’s MVP Volunteer Transcript to highlight the accomplishments.
The introductory student volunteer certification course is free and provided through the MVP Community through an online learning system. More intensive student volunteer course will be offered after completion of the first course which will be added to the student’s volunteer transcript along with the opportunity to earn a badge on completion of each course.
After MVP Students reach certain levels of badge status’, student’s will be eligible to have a personal story submitted which will be spotlighted and may also be invited as a guest for the MVP Students and Nonprofits Podcast as MVP Student of the Week.
